Large amounts of unlicensed medications have been taken by Department of Health officials throughout a search of a home in Glengormley.

A man was interviewed by department officers about unlawfully importing and subsequently providing unlicensed impotence medicines through the web.

The 47-year-old was likewise questioned about other medication offenses.

He will now be the topic of a report to the general public Prosecution Service.

The search was brought out by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, said: "It is crucial that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medications can be dangerous.
